Raby Castle Deer Park
It was a glorious 25°c outside and I had a Friday afternoon all to myself, so I packed my camera bag and headed down to Raby Castle in North Yorkshire, to take some pictures of the young roe deer.
I'd been down there not so long ago testing a couple of Fujifilm telephoto lenses, but wanted to see if I could get a little closer to the action with my 200mm and the 1.4x teleconverter.
It probably wasn't the best weather for this kind of photography, as they were all huddled under the trees to get out of the sun, but it did provide some interesting layers of light and dark to play with.
The teleconverter gave me a reach of about 280mm, which allowed me to keep my distance, and yet capture some quite intimate portraits.
These photographs were taken with the Fujifilm X-T5 and the magnificent Fujifilm XF 200mm f2 R LM OIS WR .
