Robin

County Durham

I was blessed with some gorgeous soft light this morning when a couple of beautiful European Robins came to visit the hide. They might look cute, but they're aggressive, territorial little buggers when you watch them for while. Fun fact: despite being called Robin Red Breast, they're not actually red; they're orange. But they were given the moniker before the word "orange" was introduced to the English dictionary in the 16th century.
