Glen Etive

I spent the first night of my roadtrip up the west coast of Scotland by the banks of Loch Etive, a tidal loch in Argyll & Bute. I found a great parking spot at the end of the beautiful Glen Etive to park my van.

The valley looked gorgeous; lush and green with a smattering of pink and white foxglove and purple heather.

The midges were out in force, but my Smidge spray did its job and I managed to cook up some supper on my trusty Wolf & Grizzly grill.

In the morning, as I washed my pans in the loch, a family of swans came over and started pecking the chilli con carne from my plates. It's moments like this that remind me why I love roadtrips so much.
