Jurassic Coast
Dorset
If I hadn't driven there myself, I'd have sworn I was in the South of France. It was about 28°c outside, so we chose to spend the day roasting in the sun at Worbarrow Bay on the Jurassic Coast, Dorset. Following the sat-nav, it can be a bit of a challenge to find, but it's well worth the effort. It's a gorgeous pebble beach with turquoise-blue water that sits about 20 minutes walk away from a decent sized car park.
Despite the blazing sun, the water was icy cold. That didn't stop the kids making the most of their bodyboards. Thank goodness for wet-suits. I could have done with a polarising filter to reduce some of the glare from the pebbles and the surf, but I actually find the beautiful bokeh balls quite appealing, and quite acceptable for an intimate family snapshot.
These photographs were taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and the extraordinary Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 II.
