The Dragon Steps

Hmong children in traditional dress sit on the Dragon Steps at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a 630 year old Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai Provence, Thailand.

There are 309 Dragon Steps in total, leading to the temple some 1,073m above sea level; not an easy ascent when it's 42°c in the shade.

These photographs were taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and the extraordinary Canon 35 mm f/1.4 L II USM .
