Corpach Shipwreck

Also known as the Old boat of Caol, the Corpach Shipwreck is a bit of a hidden gem just a few miles North of Fort William in Scotland. The best way to get to it is to park up at the harbour in Corpach (translates roughly as “field of corpses” in Gaelic) and walk along the pebble beach of Loch Eil.

It's a bit of a photographer's dream, with the sea lapping against the shore and Ben Nevis towering in the background. The ship was a fishing vessel named MV Dayspring that had been moored at Kinlochleven in 2011, when a heavy storm ripped her loose from her moorings.

These photographs were taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and the extraordinary Canon 35 mm f/1.4 L II USM .
